Some people have a gift for understanding math, for understanding how to teach math, and for being willing to use those skills. That describes this lovely woman.
On the other end of the spectrum, there are the students who sat through hour after countless hour of class just trying to understand the theoretically simple "logic" of adding together letters. That would have been me. But I digress.
While I personally would nominate those like Bernita for sainthood just for their willingness to tackle the aforementioned, others may take Bernita's skills for granted. Bernita is a beloved math tutor and teacher at CORE Butte Charter School. Additionally, Bernita has been described as having a soothing and melodic voice that others enjoy.
Thanks, Bernita, for being willing to tackle a difficult subject while patiently teaching difficult subjects. Ha!
