Portraits

Good portraits are more than just pictures. They can become heirlooms that are passed down through the generations, or they can become decorations that serve as an important focal point of your room. Divine Reflections Photography can create the high quality images needed for such esteemed uses. We specialize in outdoor or indoor portraits created using beautiful natural light. We will work with you to determine the best location for your portrait session. It might be somewhere that is special to you and your family. It might be somewhere that you find incredibly beautiful. Or, it might be a location that we can introduce to you. We can create more traditional formal portraits, or we can work in a more photojournalistic style. The choice is yours. Preparing for Your Session

The clothing that you choose for your session is very important, particularly if more than one person will be included in the portrait. Dark clothes in solid colors are generally best. Lighter colors also work well, but be aware that light clothing can draw the attention of the viewer away from the most important element in the portrait -- the subject's face. Patterned clothing should be avoided as it is very distracting. If more than one person will be in the portrait, matching clothing should be chosen. If identical clothing can be worn, that is even better.

Please come with any makeup that you wish to wear already applied. Since we will generally be working outside, there probably will not be a place for you to put it on at the photo site. We do suggest that you bring a small mirror and a small amount of makeup for touch ups during the session, if desired.

Pricing

We offer a variety of portrait packages to fit your needs. We also sell prints a la carte to allow even more customization. The session fee is due at the time the portrait session is scheduled. Half of the package fee and any charges for individual prints will be due when they are ordered with the remainder payable when the prints are picked up.

Session Fee - $280

A two hour photo session at the location of your choice in the Chico area. (You may use locations outside the Chico area if desired, but there will be an additional charge. See travel, below.) The session includes as as many poses with as many changes of clothes as can be comfortably used in the time allotted.

Package 1 - $95 (1 Pose)

Package 2 - $175 (2 Poses)

Package 3 - $275 (3 Poses)

Travel

We will travel anywhere in the world to create your portraits. No additional charges apply for portrait sessions in Chico, Hamilton City, Orland, or Oroville. If the portrait session is close enough to Chico for me to drive to the location, complete the session, and drive back to Chico in one day, there will be an additional charge of $95 for travel time. If the session requires an overnight stay and/or an airplane flight, you will be required to pay all travel expenses and a $95 a day travel fee.
